‘This company will specialise in bringing memorable, expressive, and heartfelt events and experiences to all.’ - Founder Martha Maloney

As a company, we want to focus on small events that will have a long lasting impact. We want to change the world, creating safe spaces for people to collaborate, share, congregate and celebrate a united cause.

When working on large scale events, it’s easy to prioritise the business side and lose the sense of community and belonging that should be present at events.

We love bringing creatives together to collaborate, and we want to continue to do that at a large scale, not only with actors but with people outside of the industry who excel in their own right.

People in London are like icebergs in the sense that we only ever get to know the tips of each other - but we want to build a space where we can really dig deeper and show each other how fantastic and multifaceted we all are.

About Us:

Martha Maloney, Founder

“My name is Martha and I am a 2024 graduate of Bristol Old Vic Theatre school. Prior to this, I trained at the BRIT School from 2019 to 2021. It was in these institutions where I discovered my passion for bringing communities together.

At the BRIT School I pushed to resurge a mentorship programme in our six form because I wished I had got to know members of the year above me as I left my secondary school to go there at 16 and didn’t know a single person. The mentor program was a huge success, I was so happy to see everyone truly connecting with each other, starting conversations and arranging to see each other outside of the programme. Sadly, this was severely disrupted by Covid, but I did not let this stop me.

At 18 I was lucky enough to get into the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where I studied for my BA Honours Professional Acting Degree. During my second year of drama school, I joined the LGBTQIA + Society, helping to advocate and plan events. I organised our Love Always Wins event in a time where we saw a lot of of targeted attacks against LGBTQIA+ people in Bristol and throughout the whole of the UK. We were raising money and it did incredibly well.

I then also helped organise another event, Under the Stars, a scratch night, not just for the actors, but for the whole school. We all congregated under the canopy of a tree in our school and everyone was encouraged to participate and perform whatever they wanted to; whether it be spoken word songs or comedy. This was a huge success as well.

About Our Founder:

In my third year I went on to be the head of the LGBTQIA+ Society, creating pamphlets with helpful information about Bristol and it’s safe spaces for people joining the school. I also organised other events including bake sales, raising money for charities such as Stonewall UK which were all a huge success.

In the time between my graduation and beginning Pamela’s Productions, I started to understand that my existence is more than just acting; I love people, learning about them and celebrating them. I also realised I love events.”

Pamela Maloney

I founded this company and named it after my grandmother, Pamela.

Pamela Maloney was a brilliant woman who graduated LAMDA in the 1940s. She was prepared to be a professional actor until an agent tried to sign her and she was told by her parents that it was unladylike and improper of her to pursue acting - insisting that she must become a teacher instead.

So she did, she became a long-standing member of staff at LAMDA and travelled all over the world doing LAMDA exams for children. She also founded various dance schools and taught elocution very heavily. If you ever meet me and hear my voice, just know it was crafted by my grandmother when I was very, very young.

She had my father, a brilliant actor who then went on to marry my mother, an entrepreneur and a force in the fashion industry. They showed me how hard you have to work to achieve your dreams. I wouldn’t have the privilege to begin Pamela’s Productions without the generations of sacrifice from both my mother and fathers families.

From Ireland and Italy to the United States, and from the United States to the United Kingdom, every single generation that came before me sacrificed an unbelievable amount so that I could start Pamela’s Productions with ease in compared to what they went through.

Pamela’s Productions celebrates the future, honouring those who didn’t have the chance to live their dream.
